Carbonara

A classic pasta dish. If you want it to be perfect, pay more attention when making the sauce with the egg. You want it creamy but not over cook the egg.

Ingredients
 

  • 100 g pancetta (Italian bacon)
  • 150 g Pasta (2 people portion)
  • 2 egg (2 people portion)
  • 40 g Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cook the pasta as per package instruction until al dente
  • On the same time, heat the pan with 1 tsp of oil over medium high heat. Pan fry the pancetta until golden and crispy. Put the pancetta into a bowl
  • In another bowl, beat the egg until smooth. Add in the cheese and mix it well
  • Put the cooked pasta into the pancetta and mix well. Add the egg mixture in 2 patches. Mix it well.
  • Do a taste test, add salt and pepper to adjust the taste as per your liking. Dish it up and enjoy

Notes

Make sure the pasta is nearly 70-80 degrees Celsius before adding in the egg mixture.
