A combination of delicious French toast and apple pie. The taste is out of your imagination. It is simple and super delicious.

Ingredients
- 2 pcs toast
egg wash
- 1 pcs egg
- 2 tsp custard powder (fig1)
- 2 tsp honey
- 1 tbsp milk
Apple filling ingredients
- 300 g apple (peeled, cored, diced)
- 30 g butter
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder (fig2)
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg (fig3)
- 45 g brown sugar (fig4)
- 1 tbsp water
- 2 tsp lemon juice
Starch mixture
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp water
Instructions
Making apple filling (10 mins)
- Add the apple filling ingredients (except lemon juice) into the pan. Heat it up with medium heat. Cook for about 5 mins until the apple is soft
- Add in the lemon juice. Do a taste test and adjust it accordingly. Add enough starch mixture to thicken the sauce mixture. Put it aside.
Making the egg wash (3 mins)
- Combine the custard powder with milk until the mixture is smooth. Add in the honey and mix it well.
- Beat the egg in a dish. Add in the custard mixture from steps 1. Mix them well together. Put it aside.
Making the French toast (15-20 mins)
- Cut the crust off the bread slices. Flatten the bread with a rolling pin. Brush the egg wash on all side of the flatten bread. Put about 2 tbsp of apple filling in the middle
- Fold the bread to cover all the filling. Seal all side with a fork
- Put the bread into the egg wash. Coat all side completely with the egg wash.
- Preheat the air fryer for 5 mins. Coat the sandwich with oil. Air fry it 190°C/375°F for 5 mins
- Flip the bread. Coat the sandwich with oil. Air fry it 190°C/375°F for 5 mins
- Drizzle extra cinnamon powder and powder sugar on top of the French toast. Or Dress each sandwich with butter and honey. Serve it hot

Other tips
Save the left over apple filling for other dessert.
You can also deep fried it over medium heat in pan with about 1/2 cup of oil.
