Ingredients
Pork chop ingredients
- 900 g boneless pork chop (about 5 pcs / 1.5 cm thickness)
- 40 g onion about 1 pcs, cut into pieces
- 100 g tomato about 2 pcs, cut into pieces
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 2 pcs shallot (cut into pieces)
Pork chop seasoning
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tsp dark soy sauce
- 2 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp chicken powder
- ½ tsp Maggi seasoning
- 1 tbsp yogurt (fig2/optional)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp oil
Tomato sauce mixture
- 1 tsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tsp Maggi seasoning (fig4)
- ½ tsp chicken powder
- 2 tbsp tomato paste (about 2 tbsp)
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1.5 tbsp brown sugar
- 300 ml water
Starch mixture
- 2 tbsp cornstarch (fig6)
- 3 tbsp water
Instructions
- Tenderize pork chops on both sides. Marinade them with seasoning for at least 30 mins
- Heat the pan with medium high heat. Add in 2 tsp oil. Pan-fry the pork chop 2-3 mins each side until medium done. Put it aside
- Add 1 tsp of oil in the pan. Heat it over medium high heat. Add in the shallots, garlic and onion. Stir fry until the onion is soft, about 1-2 mins
- add in the tomato and 1/2 tsp of sugar. Stir fry for about 1 min until the tomato is soft. Add in the sauce mixture. Simmer it over low heat for 5 mins. Add in the pork chop. Cover the lid and turn off the heat. Let is sit for another 5 mins
- Bring the sauce boil again over high heat. Add enough starch mixture to thicken the sauce. Dish it up and enjoy.
