Beef satay is one of the most popular dish in Hong Kong bistro. This time, I will put the beef satay into the French baguette to create an ultimate delicious sandwich.

Ingredients
- 300 g Beef Slices (sliced)
- 1 pcs baguette
- 40 g onion
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp shallot (diced)
- 2 tbsp peanut butter
Sauce mixture
Group A
- 1 tbsp shacha sauce
- 0.5 tsp curry sauce
Group B
- ¼ tsp chicken powder
- ½ tsp oyster sauce
- ½ tsp dark soy sauce
- 2 tsp sugar
- 200 ml water
Beef seasoning
- 1 tsp light soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- ¼ tsp ground black pepper
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp cornstarch
- ½ tsp water
- ½ tsp oil
Starch mixture
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions
- Spread evenly the button on the baguette. Toast it to make it crispy.
- Marinade the beef with the seasoning for 15 mins. Heat the pan with 1 tsp oil over high heat. Pan fry the beef until both side is golden, about medium done. Put it aside.
- Heat the pan with medium high heat. Add in 1 tsp of oil. Add in the onion, shallots, and garlic. Stir fry them until fragrant.
- Add in Group A sauce mixture. Turn the heat to low and stir fry it a bit. Add in the Group B sauce mixture and bring it to boil. Add enough starch mixture to thicken the sauce.
- Add in the beef and peanut butter. Put the satay beef mixture into the baguette. Enjoy.
