Korean beef bulgogi

A super delicious grilled beef recipe. The secret is the marinade. It is savory and sweet. It has the magic to tenderize the meats. So it is suitable to use it to marinade any kind of meat like ribs, pork chop or chicken.

Ingredients
 

  • 450 g beef tenderloin (cut into pieces)

Other ingredients

  • 40 g onion about 1 pcs, cut into pieces
  • 2 pcs green onion (sliced)
  • 50 g carrots (about 1 pcs, peeled/julienned)

Korean bulgogi marinade

  • 2 tbsp Korean soy sauce (fig1/or Japanese soy sauce)
  • 1 tbsp Mirin (fig2)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 3 tbsp apple sauce (fig3)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Instructions
 

  • Marinade the beef with the bulgogi marinade. Add in the other ingredients and mix well. Marinade it for at least 3 hours
  • Heat the pan with 2 tsp of oil over high heat. Add in the beef and other ingredients. Pan fry until the ingredients are full cooked and the beef is brown, about medium well done. Serve it hot

Other tips
1 you can use the Korean BBQ sauce from supermarket instead of home made Bulgogi marinade. You will need about 100ml of it
2 You can use the marinade for ribs, pork chops, pork belly, wings, etc
