Ingredients
 

  • 750 g Fish fillets
  • 40 g onion (about 1 onion, peeled, cut into pieces)
  • 3 pcs tomato (cleaned, cut into pieces)
  • 1 tbsp diced green onions
  • 2 pcs egg
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch

Sauce mixture

  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp chicken powder
  • 250 ml water

Starch mixture

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp water

Seasoning

  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp white pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cut the fish into bite size. Marinade it with the seasoning for 10 mins. Add in egg and cornstarch. Mix it well
  • Heat the pan over medium heat with 3-4 tbsp of oil. Add in the fish fillet. Pan fry until both side are golden and cripsy. Set aside
  • Heat the pan over medium high heat with 1 tsp of oil. Add in the onion and sautee until soft. Add in tomato and sugar. Sautee until the tomato is soft. Add in the chicken powder, water and mix well. Turn the heat to low. Cover and simmer for 15 mins
  • Add in fish sauce, dark soy sauce to taste. Turn back to high heat. Add in enough starch mixture to thicken the sauce
  • Add in the fish. Mix it well and dish it up. Enjoy
