Lemon coke chicken wings is popular Asian dish. My modified version is much simpler compare to other recipes. It doesn't requires lot of seasonings. Just reduce the coke to transform it to a syrups. Coat each wings with coke syrups plus the refreshing lemon juice, it is simply amazing!

Ingredients
- 16 pcs Chicken wings (about 900g)
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp lemon zest
Chicken seasoning
- 1 tsp chicken powder (fig1)
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 0.5 tsp Chinese 5 spices powder (fig2)
- 1 tsp garlic powder (fig3)
- 1 tsp oil
- 2 tsp cornstarch (fig4)
- 1 tsp water
Sauce mixture
- 1.5 tbsp Shaoxing wine (fig5)
- 1 tbsp Indonesian sweet soy sauce(kecap manis) (fig6)
- 250 ml Coke
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken wings in the seasoning for 30 minutes. Pan fry the wings on medium heat until golden on both sides, about 2 minutes per side
- Turn to medium low heat, add the sauce mixture. Bring the sauce mixture to boil
- Cover with the lid and let it simmer for 5-8 minutes
- Open the lid, turn to high heat. Reduce the sauce until it is thickened. Dish it up. Drizzle the lemon juice and zest. Serve it hot.
