This recipe required a top quality of beef tenderloin. If you able to get one, then you can nail this dish easily. You can stop eating once you taste this sweet and sour special tomato sauce

Ingredients
- 500 g beef tenderloin (cut into pieces)
- 40 g onion about 1 pcs, cut into pieces
- 100 g tomato about 2 pcs, cut into pieces
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 2 pcs shallot (cut into pieces)
Sauce mixture
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce (fig1)
- 1 tsp Maggi seasoning (fig2)
- 1 tsp dark soy sauce (fig3)
- 1 tsp chicken powder (fig4)
- 3 tbsp ketchup (fig5)
- 2 tbsp tomato paste (fig6)
- 1.5 tbsp brown sugar
- 180 ml water
Starch mixture
- 1.5 tbsp cornstarch
- 3 tbsp water
Beef seasoning
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 2 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp water
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp oil
Instructions
- Mix the baking soda with water. Add it with the reset of the seasoning into the beef and mix it well. Marinade for at least 30 mins
- Add 2 tsp of oil in the pan. Heat it with high heat. When the pan and hot is oil. Add in the beef and pan-fry until both side is golden. When it is about medium done, dish it up and put it aside.
- Heat the pan with medium high heat. Add in 1 tsp of oil. Add in the onion, shallots, and garlic. Stir fry them until fragrant. Add in tomato and mix it well
- Once the onion is soft, add in the sauce mixture. Turn the heat to medium low. Simmer for 1-2 mins. Add in the beef and mix it well. Thicken the sauce mixture with starch mixture.

Other tips
1 You can replace the baking soda with any acidic fruit pure or yogurt. But the marinade time will need to increase to 3 hours
2 You will need to do taste testing at the end to ensure the taste is what you like.
